Fall Engagement Session at Sequoyah Hills Park
Some engagement sessions just flow—and Katie and Taylor’s session at Sequoyah Hills Park was exactly that.
From the moment we started, it was clear how much fun these two have together. They’re the kind of couple who laugh easily, move naturally, and aren’t afraid to be a little playful in front of the camera. As a photographer, that energy is a dream. It means I can step back, let moments unfold, and focus on capturing what’s real instead of forcing poses.
Sequoyah Hills Park is one of my favorite locations in Knoxville for engagement sessions, especially when you want something timeless and relaxed. The open green spaces, tall trees, and soft light create a setting that never distracts from the people in front of the lens. During the winter months, there is less foot traffic making it the perfect location for a couple wanted a more private space for their engagement session.
The natural light at Sequoyah Hills Park worked beautifully for their session, wrapping everything in a soft glow that felt warm and romantic. It allowed us to create stunning images for Katie and Taylor's session. Engagement sessions should feel less like a photoshoot and more like a date—and this one absolutely did.
Photographing Katie and Taylor was a reminder of why I love engagement sessions so much. They’re not just about celebrating an upcoming wedding; they’re about capturing a season of life filled with excitement, affection, and anticipation. This chapter of their story is full of joy, and it was an honor to document it.
